Conscious Sedation Dentistry
Conscious sedation dentistry enables patients to enter a state of extreme relaxation without IV sedation. Because people who feel especially nervous about visiting the dentist may not seek treatment, conscious sedation dentistry aims to make the experience acceptable to any patient.

With conscious sedation, you will take a small pill about one hour before your appointment. Most patients feel drowsy by the time they arrive, so we require you to have a responsible adult drive you to and from our office. Conscious sedation only mimics sleep by putting you in an intensely relaxed state, but you will be able to communicate with Dr. Sands at all times.
